In 2006, Rolex continued its celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the GMT-Master II by releasing the 116758SARU a gemstone version of the Rolex GMT-Master II. The 116758SARU comes with a yellow gold case that is 40mm in diameter with a glare-proof sapphire crystal, a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back and a winding crown. It comes with a gem-set bezel that features, 23 diamonds, 18 rubies and 18 sapphires set in the beloved Rolex Pepsi design and the lugs are covered with 76 brilliant diamonds. The dial is black with index hour markers, a date window, gold Mercedes hands, and a gold GMT hand. The 116758SARU is powered by the self-winding 3186 caliber which has date functionality, an additional 24-hour hand and a power reserve of 50 hours. The case is paired with a yellow gold oyster bracelet with a fold-over clasp. It has a water resistance of 100 meters (330 feet).
